The Game

Game Play

1. Starting the Game:  Each player (2-6 players) starts with a set amount of cash (e.g., $1200).
!) All players begin at the "Start" space.

The players roll the dice to determine who goes first. The highest roller goes first.

2. Taking Turns:  Players take turns rolling two dice and moving clockwise around the board.
!) Follow the instructions on the space landed upon.

3. Spaces on the Board:!) Properties: Players can purchase if not owned or pay rent if owned by another player.
!!) Property Rent: Players who land on a property owned by another player have to pay $75 in Rent.
o Life cards: Draw a Life Card and follow the instructions.
o Fate Cards: An opponent draws a Fate Card for you and follows the instructions. Answer correctly and receive $100.
Answer incorrectly, go back to the start position (you do not collect the $100).
***Important: If you are returned to Start and have not yet passed Start at least once since that return, you may NOT purchase property until you complete a full circuit (i.e., pass Start).
o Start Space: Collect $100 every time you pass.
o Jail: Pay $100 and skip a turn unless you use a ‘Get Out Jail Free’ Life Card to get out.

4. Buying Properties:  When landing on an unowned property, players may buy it for the price listed.
o If not purchased, the property stays available.
o Property cannot be purchased until you pass START after 1 time around

5. Rent and Transactions: o Players can trade properties or cash among themselves.

6. Special Cards: 
o
Life Cards: Provide benefits like bonus cash or necessity items.
o Fate Cards: Introduce challenges of Black History Knowledge.

7. Winning the Game:
o Continue playing until a set time expires or only one player remains financially stable.
o The winner is the player with the most wealth at the end, or the person who bankrupts the bank.

Additional Rules • Bankruptcy: If a player cannot pay rent or bills, they must sell properties to the bank to resolve their debt. If unable to pay, they are out of the game. Trading: Players are allowed to negotiate trades and deals with each other at any time.
